Mulgrew Miller Trio
MULGREW MILLER TRIO After seeing Oscar Peterson, nothing was going to deter Mulgrew from being one of the finest jazz pianists there is. He was born in the mid 50’s in Mississippi and started out playing Gospel and R & B. After his life changing moment of hearing Oscar he has remained a jazz pianist ever since. Still influenced by Peterson’s style you will be in for a real treat. He now has his own trio and has released numerous CDs. In 2006 he was awarded the honorary degree of Doctor of Performing Arts at Lafayette College’s171st Commencement Exercises. It was well deserved.
