Dena DeRose Trio DENA DeROSE TRIO Dena and her trio Martin Wind on bass and Tim Horner on drums have developed a hard swinging and dynamic sound that audiences crave. This fabulous singer, song writer, pianist has been hailed as the most compelling lady since Shirley Horn. She began studying classical piano until Count Basie’s sound lured her into the world of jazz. She started jazz lessons at aged 17 and has been an almost constant performer, with only a small respite for aggressive hand surgery.
